From Gary, the rundown on Lake City.  My neighbor just got back from there yesterday and was wildly enthusiastic about how beautiful it was.  I am blasting this to the club email list in case another rider or two would want to consider going.  The lodging is
the only sticky part since the others already have reservation but there is plenty of room on the road for more bikes.  Direct any questions to Gary Hopkins our road captain if interested.

Attn:  BMAC Lake City Ride is Blasting Off Saturday July 11 from Pikes Peak Harley at 9:30 am.   

We have 4 couples & 5 guys paid up to stay  in 4 cabins.  We will be staying at the Wagon Wheel Cabins.  The couples will have separate rooms and there will be 3 guys in 1 cabin & 2 the other.   

There are 2 campers known.  There is more room for campers and 1 cabin open to rent if others are interested as of 6/30.  Denver Rides can be meat up with off 285. 

The ride will head up hwy 24 to Antero Junction where it turns into 285 and follows to Junction Village. 

Then out hwy 50 over Monarch Pass past Gunnison then onto 149 to Lake city.  App. 240 mi. app. 5 hours.   There we will enjoy our night.  All businesses are open with 50% capacity.   

The following morning we will have breakfast and roll on over to Creede and onto 160 to Del Norte. 

Then across 112 and up 285 to Salida. 

We will then head down the Canyon on 50 through Canyon City to Penrose then up 115 to Colo. Spr.  app 300 mi. from Lake City and into C/S app 4 pm. 

This is a cruiser ride with plenty of fuel, food and scenic stops along the way.   Sorry I couldn’t line up a chase wagon but I do have AAA that covers Motorcycles also.   

This is Beautiful Country and even More Beautiful on a Motorcycle.
