Ok riders – we are on for tomorrow! Weather looks to be around mid-40’s but dry so dress warm and fire that Iron Horse up for he first ride of 2017. Details follow – hope you can make it and join us.
Carpe New Years,
Whiskyman
We are planning for a New Years day ride to the Rockyard Brewery in Castle Rock.
John Stoner will gather the Colorado Springs riders from south and central CS areas at the
Woodmen park-and-ride, Woodmen and I-25,
leaving there at 10:30 am. Come with a tank of gas please so we don’t have to stop the pack.
This group will meet with Frank Puckett about 10:30 am in Monument in the parking lot of the Village Inn. Riders from points north won’t need to back track if they want to go
to Monument if it’s closer (plus you can get more time to shake off the new year’s eve hangover :>)
The combined groups will head out together between 10:45 – 11 am
depending upon when all are ready and proceed up Hwy 105 to the turnoff going into Castle Rock from the “back door”. It looks like it will be cool but dry, so layer up or use those electric vest and gloves.
For members in Denver or points north, feel free to find a buddy or two from your hood and ride on down to meet us around noon at the Rockyard.
Lunch and libations at the Rockyard upon arrival. Since they don’t take reservations you will probably end up mixing and mingling with riders from Denver BMAC, Norton Colorado and others so it’s always a lot of fun.
The “fallback” in case of a weather change (this is Colorado after all). Please
check your Email before you leave home and the Facebook page for any last minute updates. If weather goes into the dumper, there will be a more “local” plan (to be determined) so we
can still get together and celebrate another new year of riding!
Hope you can make it – let’s start off 2017 on two wheels!
