The January meeting of BMAC came to order shortly after 10AM at Pikes Peak
Harley Davidson with 25 members in attendance. Previous guest Brian joined
BMAC. He’s building a ’73 Triumph.
Robin presented the treasurer’s report; the club has $2887 on account. As
always, merchandise is available and supports club activities. Spent
slightly less than collected.
Upcoming Events:
The Super Show is an annual opportunity for BMAC to show its colors. The
show is March 2-3rd.
New Rides:
Todd bought a ’71 Bridgestone TMX, which he is restoring for the Super Show
Frank found a nice Trail 90 in Albuquerque
Denise got an ’01 Speed Triple in Nuclear Red … AKA ‘very pink’
The club noted the passing of Ross Van Etten.
Bob gave a presentation on planning for a touring trip, detailing his
planning for visiting Austin for the MotoGP race, and also covered
replacing a newer chain without the clip.
George recommended Mile High Polishing in Denver.
Todd gave another paint presentation, focusing on safe breathing, air
management, and guns.
Dana showed the carbs he rebuilt for his BMW.
Frank announced that he’s currently working on a Norton restoration and
recommends Classic Transfers for logo and other decals that are hard to
find. He also showed a wheel shroud for one of his race bikes and
discussed the advantages and disadvantages of using them.
